Terms of use & license agreement
Effective 2 July 2026 · Eleven Ways, Ghent, Belgium
Who's who
Pinza is developed and licensed by Eleven Ways ("we"), based in Ghent, Belgium. By downloading or using Pinza you agree to these terms. Purchases are processed by Gumroad, Inc. as merchant of record — their terms apply to the payment itself.
The free tier
Pinza's free tier may be used by anyone, on any number of Macs, for as long as you like. It is provided as-is, free of charge.
The Pro license
- Pinza Pro is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no recurring charge.
- One license may be activated on up to 5 Macs that you own or control. Deactivate a Mac from Settings → Pro to free a seat.
- Your license key is personal. Don't share, resell, or publish it.
- All Pinza 1.x updates are included. If a Pinza 2.0 ever ships as a paid upgrade, 1.x customers receive a 50% discount.
Refunds
14 days from purchase, no questions asked. Request one through Gumroad's receipt email or by writing to hello@pinza.app. Refunded license keys stop validating.
Fair-use restrictions
- Don't redistribute modified builds of Pinza, or circumvent its license checks.
- Don't use Pinza for anything unlawful. (Pinza copies references from your own screen — it would be an odd choice of accomplice.)
Third-party components
Pinza bundles open-source components including Sparkle (updates), GRDB with SQLCipher (encrypted storage), and the Sentry SDK (opt-in crash reporting). Their licenses are acknowledged in the app's About window.
No warranty
Pinza is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Pinza is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian law, nor your statutory rights as an EU consumer.
Termination
We may terminate a Pro license that is materially breached (for example, a published key). You may stop using Pinza at any time; deleting the app and its data folder removes everything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes go to the courts of Ghent, Belgium — though writing to hello@pinza.app first is faster for everyone.
